Akenerji Purchased Polat Enerji’s Wind Energy Generation by the End of the Year
Akenerji, one of the first companies to invest in renewable energy in Turkey, signed an agreement to purchase the entire electricity generation of one of the leading wind energy production companies, Polat Enerji’s wind power plants with 100 MW capacity.Akenerji General Manager Ahmet Ümit Danışman said that they aim to create a commercial platform in order to sell more than their production capacity.
Danışman said, “In line with the intense demand from our customers who want to reduce their electricity costs, we try to expand our energy supply portfolio and ensure that the energy we offer them is based on renewable energy resources as much as possible. As in many industries, it is not possible for every producers to have an effective sales and marketing capacity. We offer producers of all sizes, especially small producers a collaboration based on the “win-win” principle by using the sales and marketing power that we have.
We believe that this collaboration we have initiated, will make the biggest contribution to the accurate development of the energy market in Turkey.”
