Poyraz RES
Poyraz WPP is the largest project of Polat Energy-Demirer Energy partnership with an installed capacity of 54,9 MW. The plant will be taken under operation in 2012 with 28 turbines.

Soma Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.S.
Soma WPP
Soma WPP is one of the largest onshore wind power plants in Turkey and Europe with its 119 turbines and 140,1 MW installed power.
The first part of Soma WPP with 88 turbines and an installed capacity of 79,2 MW was taken under operation in October 2010. By the end of 2011, whole wind farm will be under commercial operation. When the certification process is completed, Soma WPP will be one of the largest wind plant in Europe with Gold Standard Certificate.
Soma WPP General Information:
- Investment cost for Soma WPP 1st stage is 100 million Euros.
- Investment cost for Soma WPP 2nd stage is 70 million Euros.
- Investment cost for Soma WPP is 170 million Euros.
- Expected annual electricity generation is 405 million kWh.
- When completed, the plant will meet the electricity need of 200.000 people.
- Soma WPP will reduce 297.000 tons of emission each year.
- It is the only wind park in Turkey which is connected to 380.000 V voltage level.
- 380.000 V energy transmission line length is 22 km.
- Soma WPP area is 123 million m2.
- The area of the land leased from the Ministry of Forestry is 1.150.000 m2.
- In Construction Soma WPP 25,000 m3 of concrete and 4000 tons of iron will be used.
- Total length of roads to be constructed is 62 km.
When all the investments are completed in 2012, Polat Energy will approximately produce 1 billion kWh of electricity and have 684.000 tons of emission reduction each year.
Apart from ongoing investments, Polat Energy develops new projects with a target of increasing its installed power in wind energy to 500 MW in 2015. |
