After wind power plants, solar and geothermal energy plants will be connected to the system ." The Minister of Energy also emphasized that the private investments in the energy sector has been considerably increasing and that since they took office there was only 17 MW of  installed capacity of wind energy and today this number has reached 478 MW.

Polat also emphasized that the bureaucratical stages are the hardest part of these investments. "For the bureaucratical stages we kindly ask you to opend the road for us so as private investors we can accelarate these investments. We cannot see these plants just as electricity generators but as a source employment and development as well" . Polat said that next year in Soma, they will build one of the largest wind farms with a 141 MW installed capacity.

The 34 turbines with generation license in Sayalar wind farm can supply 92.200.000 kWh electricity which can meet 39.000 families' electricity demand.

Within the framework of contributing to decrease the emission of greenhouse gas, Sayalar Power Plant is one of the three wind power plants which received the VER Goldstandart Certificate in Turkey.
